Veda is my niece, and I wanted to create something truly unique for her. That’s why I decided to combine two forms of art; Ghibli and quilling to make this portrait. I painted Veda in Ghibli style, not because it’s a trend, but because it’s an art form I believe will always stay timeless. Below the portrait, I created her name using quilling, surrounded by patterns that reflect everything that mesmerizes her. I kept this artwork a complete surprise from my brother and sister-in-law. I didn’t even show it during our daily video calls. I’m finally revealing it in this reel and I hope they love it.
