What's your mother's favourite thing to do with you? Here's the complete process to make DIY Walnut Floating Candles- Supplies: Walnut Shell/Lemon Peel/Orange Peel/Coconut Shell/Sea Shell Ghee(clarified butter) and Soy wax in 3:2 (only soy wax/beeswax can also be used) Pre-waxed cotton wicks (without tab)/Cotton Baati for diyas Double boiler or two pans in different sizes Empty Tealights/Egg cartons/Ice tray/Small diyas (Basically anything that stabilizes walnut shells after pouring wax into them) Method: 1. Place the walnut shells in the empty tealights to stabilise them. 2. Place a cotton baati in the centre (leave the shell as is if you're using pre-waxed cotton wicks without tabs. As they can be added later) 2. In a double boiler add ghee and soy wax (Or just soy wax/beeswax as per your preference) and let it melt completely. 3. Pour the wax into the walnut shells. 4. Let the upper layer solidify then add a pre-waxed cotton wick in the centre if you haven't added it in Step 2 5. Let it cure completely. 6. Float the candles in a uruli and light them. Enjoy the ambience and soft warm glow created by the walnut candles. Caution: Use walnut floating candles only to float in urulis. Keep the burning candles away from kids and pets. Don't leave burning candles unattended. Day 3 of Sketchbook Series Today I plan to engage in a delightful combination of watercolor and doodling, aiming to both have fun and enhance my skills in watercolor wash technique. The concept is easy, yet the outcome is aesthetically pleasing. After being inspired by a talented doodle artist Kerry, I decided to experiment with the idea. As lotuses hold a special place in my heart, I chose to doodle a serene pond adorned with lotuses and pebbles. Feel free to share your thoughts if you like the concept. What do you like the most; road trips, train journey or plane journey! On my recent road trip from Pune to UP (Ayodhya and Banaras) I spotted elephant grass(fake pampas grass) flanking the highways. I told my family about how pampas grass is trending in home decor. Without giving it a second thought husband dear pulled off the car and the entire family (including my parents in law) was on the roadside plucking the grass for me. Heartwarming and fun moments like these make the road trips even more special, enjoyable and memorable. . #travel #roadtrip #roadtrippin #Decor #pampasgrass #pampasgrassdecor #thriftindia #thriftdecor #reelsofinstagram #trendingreels #trendingsongs #explorepage #homedecor

My sneakers were in pretty bad shape, but I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. I started looking for inspiration to give them a new life through painting. That’s when the universe stepped in, showing me a random reel where people were praising the movie Maara. Intrigued, I headed straight to Prime Video to watch it. The movie captivated me for two reasons: Maddy's (R. Madhavan) charm and the breathtaking animation and wall paintings that tell a beautiful fish story. That was the inspiration I needed! The very next day, I picked up my brushes and began painting my sneakers. At first, I was nervous—could I do justice to the stunning artwork in the movie? But I kept going, and after 12 hours of painting, I ended up with something truly magical. Now, I really want to ask @actormaddy if I’ve done a decent job recreating the Maara paintings. What do you guys think? Also, would you like a full YouTube tutorial on how to paint leather shoes? #sneakerspainting #shoepainting #painting #maara #leatherpainting #madhavan #maddy #diy #acrylicpainting #artreels #artistofinstagram #handpaintedshoes #sneakersworld #customshoes #sneakerartist

Paper Pulp Rangoli tutorial can be found in the previous reel. Someone saw my very first paper pulp rangoli and fell in love with it instantly as it was reusable and ecofriendly. So "That Someone" requested that I make a Kalash rangoli for her. So I made it and totally loved it. Now I want to see her reaction. *UPDATE* Posted the part 2 and forgot to keep the original audio so I had to delete it. Though it's available on my FB and YT (designdecoranddisha) . #Rangoli #Ecofriendly #festivedecor #Kalash #KalashRangoli #PaperPulpRangoli #PaperPulpPainting
